Having powerful and time saving gardening tools is a dream for every gardening enthusiast or professional gardeners. Effective gardening tools not only safe your precious time by simplifying many annoying gardening tasks them also play an important part in maintaining a healthy and beautiful garden. A garden which is tended by power garden tools would surely look beautifully different from the rest. These tools have become a necessity for gardening chores as it is quite difficult in this era to take out much time for gardening because of busy schedules. These tools can greatly motivate people who have a flare for gardening to adopt it as a hobby.

There are two types of gardening tools available for everyday uses. The first category consists of conventional and traditional tools which have been in use for centuries. These tools are cheap to acquire and considerably reduce the time required for taking care of your favourite plants and flowers. These tools are mostly hand driven and manual. These tools cannot operate on their own hence require human effort. Some traditional gardening tools are hand-driven lawn-mowers, watering cans, sprayers, saws, leaf rakes, shovels, etc. The second type consists of more sophisticated and advanced power garden tools. These tools are powered by fuel or electricity. Some more advanced tools may even be fully autonomous which means that they can sense their environment and operate on their own just like a gardener would do. These smart tools do not require any kind human monitoring.

Books, tools, safety & basic pruning info.

I recommend a Felco or Corona bypass pruner and a small turbo-cut arborist's saw. Felco is the highest quality brand and offers many types to fit your hand; Corona is the next best. The blades are sharpenable and replaceable. Corona makes an excellent long-handled by-pass lopper.
The turbo-cut saw is flat-bladed, sharpened on both sides, often folds down into it's handle and cuts a thin, straight line like butter through wood. Always use a saw for cutting soft wood on trees or cuts larger than an inch or any time your hand pruner is not making the cut easily. It's great for roses and woody shrubs as well

  • Avatar Lacey What did you get your son on his 2nd birthday?
Oct 08, 2010 by Lacey | Posted in Newborn & Baby

My son is going to be 2 the day before thanksgiving. He already has a tricycle, a toddler 4 wheeler , and a wagon. His grandparents buy him things year round. I don't want him to be over spoiled. What's a good gift that my husband and I can get him? What did you buy for your 2 year old? So far, I have play dough.

    • We bought him a remote control car ($10) which he absolutely loves..a Mr Potato Head....a foam bat and ball....and a race track ($10).
